Strong Heart Combat
They Fought for All of Us. We're Here for Them.
A full-day equine-assisted workshop for IDF units — building resilience, regulation, and trust within the team that has served and suffered together.
The System Is Overwhelmed. The Gaps Are Real.
More than 20,000 IDF soldiers show signs of trauma. Group therapy within organic units is nearly unavailable — the system is overwhelmed, and the average wait for recognition stretches over a year. Trauma left unaddressed at the unit level doesn't disappear. It compounds. Strong Heart intervenes at the moment it matters most — while the unit is still together.
Unique Holistic Approach
Our objective is to provide soldiers with a safe space to release tension, process their experiences, and restore mental and physical balance. The workshops offer immediate relief from stress and help prevent trauma from deeply taking hold.
Groundwork
Ground-based exercises with horses — practicing communication, trust, and motivation in a safe space.
Mindfulness
Breathing and presence-based activities to manage stress and calm the nervous system.
Trust
Learning to guide and connect with a horse builds personal empowerment and confidence.
Reflection
A safe space to talk, share, and heal together with people who get it.
Individual
Activities adapted to each participant's comfort level and stage of progress.
What a Day at the Farm Looks Like
The day begins with meeting the horses — grooming, feeding, riding. Then, small-group work — trust exercises, body language, guided horse interactions, and free work. The day ends with a shared meal and group reflection.
How IDF Units Access the Program
Strong Heart Combat doesn't take open applications. Units are referred through authorized military foundations and military social welfare officers. A coordinator reaches out, a date is set, and the unit arrives at Aviv Farm together — the same people who fought together, healing together.
If you represent a foundation or organization working with active IDF units, we'd like to hear from you.
Write Us →For those who need ongoing support, we created a long-term program ‘Safe Space’ — a safe and supportive space where veterans can heal, reconnect, and rebuild stability through community, nature, professional support, and the healing bond with horses. More than a program, it becomes a true second home. Some soldiers come for a day. Some stay for a year. All of them find their way back.
